摘要
数据中心的备用发电机组带超前功率因数负载的能力很低,而现代IT设备是典型的超前功率因数负载,产生大量超前无功功率,可能导致发电机组运行不稳甚至关机。本文分析IT设备产生超前无功功率的根源,详细解读发电机容量曲线,说明发电机吸收超前无功功率极限,提出解决发电机运行不稳问题的策略和解决方案。
The ability of powering leading power factor load for data center generator set is very low. While the modem IT equipment is a typical leading power factor load which results in a large number of leading reactive powers and may lead to the generator instability or even shut down. This paper analyses the root cause of generating leading reactive power by IT equipment, explains in detail the generator capability curve and the input reactive power limit of generator, and put forward the strategy and solution of generator instability question.
