The town planning in China has a mere short history of little more than a dozen years, and few towns in China have a complete system of their own. So it is of fundamental importance to re - plan most of the towns for their further development. Taking for example the general re-planning of Gaoqiao Township of Shaxian County in Fujian Province, the author of this article puts forward some new ideas about the general planning of towns in China.
