Interpretation has long been a notoriously difficult concept to define and explore in the study of modernist literary theory. The intriguing writing technique of Gertrude Stein, which is characterized by meta-interpretation features of ＂habit＂ and ＂repetition＂, has always been the research focus in academia. This paper tries to discover Stein＇s unique literary perspective, which is shaped by her transcendental writing strategy. Gertrude Stein makes ＂repetition＂ and ＂habit＂ a brand new writing style, and this can be regarded as complete subversion and sublimation of traditional literary interpretation.
