American community colleges have a developmental history of over 100 years and they have set a good example for Chinese independent colleges attached to universities as far as their education roles are concerned, such as student transfer, vocational training and community education. It is beneficial to the development of Chinese independent colleges to have a healthy way suitable for our own national conditions if we can learn from the successful experience of American community colleges and define our own education goals, display our own characteristics optimize our own teaching approaches as well as share high-quality resources.
