透过数据分析正视ScienceDirect数据库的采购——以北京化工大学图书馆为例

Facing the Purchase of SD Database through Data Analysis——The Practice of BUCT Library

Science Direct(SD)数据库是中国大陆高校图书馆最早引进的外文数据库之一,该数据库的采购在国内受到了很大的争议。文章详细分析了SD数据库在大陆地区的采购情况和采购方案,并结合北京化工大学SD数据库采购情况、使用情况以及学科贡献度,提出了购买此类数据库的建议:各馆应该根据学校的经费和数据库的使用情况确定适合本校的购买方案,通过技术手段,实现资源缓存,同时加强数据库使用方法培训,控制文献下载量,从而降低数据库采访等级。并提出了建立小规模的组团谈判,作为今后SD数据库采购的参考模式。

ScienceDirect （SD） database is one of the earliest introduced foreign language databases i braries in Chinese mainland. The purchase of the database induced big controversy. The purchase procurement sheme of SD database on mainland are analyzed in detail in this paper. According to the n university condition and purchase situ- ation, the using condition and the contribution degree to disciplines of SD database in Beijing university of chemical technology, the suggestion to purchase this kind of databases is given. The library should determine the purchase principle to be suit for the university according to the expenditure and using condition of database. The resource buffer deposition will be realized through the technological means. At the same time, the training to use the data- base is enhanced and the downloading amounts of literatures are controlled to decrease the level of accessing the da- tabase. Forming a small group of negotiation as the reference mode to purchase the SD database in future is offered.
