Clinical Experience of LIU Derong Treating Biyuan with Huobo Xinyi San

鼻渊是鼻科的常见疾病,常表现为鼻流大量浊涕且不能自止,可伴见流出涕带臭味、嗅觉障碍等症。刘师认为鼻渊属本虚标实之证,肺脾虚损为本,湿热上熏为标,外邪侵袭为引,主张辨病应与辨证相联系,自拟藿薄辛夷散临证加减治疗鼻渊,标本兼顾,临床疗效显著。

Nasosinusitis,or known as Biyuan in TCM,is a common rhinology disease that manifests persistent thick,sometimes smelly discharge from the nose,along with occasional olfaction disorder. Biyuan is seen as deficiency in the root and excess at the tip by doctor LIU,which means lung and spleen are deficient,steaming damp-heat are excessive. Such imbalance is usually aggravated with the attack of exterior pathogens. Combining disease differentiation with syndrome differentiation,Huobo Xinyi San created by doctor LIU used for Biyuan,has achieved good clinical effect,treating the disease from the root to the tip.
