Prime structural detects and some mail problems in existing cable and membrane structures after long period of operation services were introduced. The main methods and equipment were listed for the inspection of such structures. Inspection works for two projects were illustrated,i. e.,Wuhu Olympic Center stadium and Shanghai Hongkou stadium. Finally,suggestion on techniques and managements were given for inspection and maintenance of cable and membrane structures.
