The calculation method of escalator handrail for the advance rate is introduced, the influence of polygon effect of step chain on the advance rate of handrail is proved by the test, the adjustment amount of the tension spring is corrected, and the matching relation between the handrail and the escalator height is put forward as an important basis for select the handrail.
