Chronotope: A Keyword of Critical Theory

时空体理论堪称20世纪以来文艺学领域的一个巨大成就,这一术语源自自然科学对时间和空间的激烈探讨,后被成功引入到文学艺术等人文社会科学领域。时空体是大多数自然科学和人文社科领域的本体论研究对象,且研究程度愈来愈深,范围愈来愈广。在文学领域,学界突破了"文学是时间艺术"的传统观念,力图在时间的价值观照中把握空间的意义,尝试用一种新的理论范式克服传统理论的危机。目前,文艺学领域有关时空体的研究仍主要存在以下几个问题:时空体概念内涵和外延界定标准不一;关于时空体的具体研究中不乏唯时间论或唯空间论现象;时空体具体类型的划分标准尚未形成定论。

The theory of Chronotope can be regarded as a great theoretical achievement in literature and art since the twentieth Century. The term Chronotope, originated from the intense discussion of time and space in natural sciences, was later successfully introduced into the humanities and social sciences such as literature, art and so on. It has been the study object of ontology in most fields of natural sciences and social sciences, and has been studied deeper in degree and wider in range. In literature, academia break through the convention＂literature is the art of time＂and try to grasp the meaning of space in the value of time to overcome the crisis of traditional theory with a new theoretical paradigm. However, the current study on Chronotope in literature and art still has some problems： different standards of connotation and denotation on the definitions of Chronotope; many studies exclusively focusing on time or space; unresolved criteria for the classification of specific types of Chronotope.
