Based on the analysis of the function and equipment configuration of the Central ster- ile supply department, the paper gives the calculation method of the quantity of the water consump- tion and high--temperature waste water in this region, clarifies the design parameters of water treatment equipment and the effective volume of cooling pond. Meanwhile, it gives suggestions on the main points of the water supply and drainage design of the CSSD.
