大三的时候，我和两个朋友从衣阿华州立大学搬出来住。我们真地有点儿害怕我们的房东，他是一个有着粗鲁性格的中年人。他对我们说：要及时交月租。要完整保存好房子和配套的家用电器。
Two friends and I moved into a house offcampus when I was a junior at iowa ~tate University. We were all a bit afraid of our landlord, a gruff middle aged man. He gave us a lecture about paying the rent on time and maintaining the house and appliances.
