A New Verification on the Origin of Hainan Miao Minority

通过梳理海南苗族的文献记载,发现记载中关于"苗黎""苗人"以及"狼土兵""狼目兵""土兵"等矛盾事项,对其进行重新考察,发现地方文献所记载之"苗兵"实为"狼兵",兵源也以狼人和僮人为主。通过研究《海南信歌》的记叙,又发现海南苗人的先祖瑶族同胞在海南与僮人结婚生子的现象,从而解决了海南苗族为何又自称苗族的原因,并成功考证出海南苗族最早来到海南的较为确切的时间。

From the documents and records of Hainan Miao minority, the paper finds out the contradiction about ＂the Miao and Li minority＂, ＂the Miao minority＂, as well as ＂Lang Tu Bing＂, ＂Lang Mu Bing＂, and ＂Tu Bing＂. A new verification reveals that the ＂Miao soldiers＂ actually refer to ＂Lang Bing＂ （ Wolf Troup）, whose soldiers are mainly the Lang people and Tong people. A study of the narration in Hainan Ballads also confirms that the Yao people, ancestors of Hainan Miao people, get married and have children with the Tong people, expounding the reasons that Hainan Miao minority calls itself the Miao minority while successfully verifying the relatively accurate time when the Hainan Miao minority first arrived in Hainan.
