Written by Yeats,When You Are Old presents us a beautiful artistic world in which the poet subtly conveys his sadness over the loss of love as well as his transcendent attitude towards life.This article aims mainly at the study of tension embodied in the poem from many perspectives,and in the meanwhile,explores the theme of the poem:unresolved conflict between dream and reality.
