The theoretical framework of new institutional economics is conducive to promoting people＇s understanding the price regulation reform of tap water industry in China. At this stage, people are not satisfied with the price regulation of tap water industry and the price regulation system is still in a disequilibrium state. The state leads to the need for regulatory reform.
