摘要
海明威的战争作品有着很强的时代特色。从《永别了,武器》和《丧钟为谁而鸣》两部小说入手,探究海明威从积极参战到厌战、反战,再到积极参战的转变,结合当时的时代背景和国际背景分析产生这种变化的原因。
Hemingway＇s war novels usually reflect the special features of the time. This paper,starting with his two novels A Farewell to Arms and For Whom the Bell Tolls,explores the shift of Hemingway＇ s view from his actively participating the war to his war-weary and anti-war attitude,and,in the light of the historical setting and international background at that time,analyzes the causes of the change.
