TAIERZHUANG:NO LONGER NEGLECT THE ANTI-JAPANESE WAR MEMORY

那段历史记忆，在他们心里永远是精神灯盏!曾经有这样一群人，你们本来是纯朴的农民、勤劳的工人、风华正茂的学生、天真无邪的孩子；八十年前，当一群强盗闯入了你们的家门，从此你们有了一个共同的名字：抗日战士。

From March 23 to April 8,1938, the Chinese army fought a bloody battle against the Japanese invader at Taierzhuang,and won the greatest victory in the frontline battlefield of the AntiJapanese War. The Chinese army killed or wounded nearly 20,000 Japanese soldiers here, and smashed the arrogance of the Japanese army which aimed to subjugate China within three months. In the fierce battle lasting nearly a fortnight,30,000 Chinese officers and soldiers died for the country, with only 4,000 martyrs identified so far.We ought to remember: like thousands of martyrs; they were all the unyielding backbone of our nation!In March 2013,the "Looking for Martyrs at Heroic Taierzhuang"campaign jointly carried out by the Publicity Department of the CPC Taierzhuang District Committee,the Memorial Hall of the Battle of Taierzhuang, and so on was launched.The campaign was aimed at looking for the unknown martyrs in the battle by means of Internet, micro-blog, etc.A local search team was founded to look for and confirm the identities of such unknown martyrs in Beijing,Yunnan, Jiangsu and other regions,and to write their names into the annals of the battle history.
