Cultural Self-confidence and Contemporary China

文化自信是民族复兴的重要支撑,民族复兴是文化自信的集中体现。当今时代需要在经济全球化和世界思想文化激荡中确立文化自信,在不忘本来、吸收外来、面向未来中坚持文化自信,在推进马克思主义中国化中阐释文化自信,在中国特色社会主义伟大实践中坚定文化自信。紧扣文化自信与当代中国这个主题,探讨文化自信与民族精神,文化自信与马克思主义中国化,文化自信与中国特色社会主义的关系,具有重大理论意义和现实价值。

Cultural self-confidence is a crucial support to national rejuvenation, while national rejuvenation is in turn a concentrated embodiment of cultural self-confidence. We should establish cultural self-confidence in the wave of economic globalization and in the ideological and cultural turbulence throughout the world. We should maintain cultural self-confidence while remaining true to our original aspiration, learning the good experience from abroad, and looking far ahead into the future. We should also explain it while promoting the sinification of Marxism, and strengthen it in the great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics. In this paper, the author tries to discuss the relationship between cultural self-confidence and contemporary China from three respects, including cultural self-confidence and national spirit, cultural self-confidence and the sinification of Marxism, and cultural self-confidence and socialism with Chinese characteristics.
