Cham: Springer International, 2016, $139, ISBN: 978-3-319-08515-9Traditionally, in at least the academic setting, media and management are separate in their discussion as each encompasses a complex network of information coming together to create a whole discipline. However, the marriage of the two provides a unique set of challenges in a field that is certainly under-explored, and perhaps even underrated. Media, alone, is a dynamic, multi-dimensional field of study that cannot be considered a standard product or industry given the rapidly developing nature of its digitization. Additionally, as a vehicle for expression, a tool for education, and a product for marketization, media is an incredibly complex and powerful entity in and of itself. With the addition of the details and theories of the management discipline, the concept and practice of media become increasingly more complex.
