In view of the fact that the boiling point of C5 components is close to each another, a unique separation process is taken to utilize the characteristics that cyclopentadiene is easily self-polycondensated into dicyclopentadiene, the dienes is preferably separated and the quality of dicyclopentadiene is improved.
