From the international engineering education certification, the current situation and disadvantage of＇ assessment of functional polymer materials course of polymer materials and engineering major was expounded. Moreover, a novel assessment method was propounded based on the specialty of the curriculum and requirements of the international engineering education certification. The assessment method focuses on the testing of students＇ learning processes and pays more attention to self-learning, active learning and lifelong learning.
