In the new century,the united front has very important status and functions in overall situation of the Party.The united front is the basis guarantee for extensive solidarity,people's cohesiveness,and accomplishment of the general task in new century; it is the effective form of multi-party cooperation, relations co-ordination and democratic politics strengthening;it is the positive power for guarding social stability;and it plays a linking role in accelerating peaceful unification of China.We need to thoroughly understand and grasp these points in order to work on united front in the new century.
