掺镱双包层光纤预制棒的制备工艺研究

摘要 稀土掺杂双包层光纤的出现推动了光纤激光器输出功率的飞跃式提升,其对光纤预制棒的质量和光学特性要求越来越高。介绍了以改进的化学汽相沉积(MCVD)工艺进行掺镱(Yb)双包层光纤预制棒制备的主要工艺流程与特点,并在此基础上针对预制棒尺寸调节的需求,研究了MCVD车床能够实现的拉伸工艺。 The advent of double cladding rare-earth doped fiber has promoted a substantial increase of fiber laser's output power,and the requirement of fiber for the quality and optical properties of fiber preforms is higher and higher.The main processes and features of double cladding Yb-doped fiber preform fabrication by modified chemicalvapor deposition(MCVD)are presented.On the basis of them,aiming at the diameter modification demand of preform,the stretching process which can be realized by MCVD lathe is researched.
