城市分类研究进展综述

A Review: the Progress of Urban Classification Research

城市分类是为了更好地认识城市、研究城市,进而得出对城市发展更有利的方案。本文系统梳理了城市分类的方法及标准。分类方法经历了从定性描述向定量分析演进,单一变量向多变量演进,主观向客观演进的一个逐渐完善的过程;国内外学者主要从城市的产生和发展、地域和空间形态、规模、职能和性质等几个方面对城市进行分类;最后,提出未来城市分类研究应在:分类依据的多元化、分类方法的多样化、分类指标的标准化、分类结果的应用化这4个方面进行完善。

Urban classification is to better understand and study the cities, and then come to a more efficient plan for the development of the cities. This paper systematically reviews the methods and standards of urban classification. Classification methods experienced a process of gradual improvement which is the evolution from qualitative description to quantitative analysis, from a single variable to multiple variables, and from subjective to objective. Scholars at home and abroad mainly classify the cities based on the origin and development of cities, the geographical and spatial form, scale, function, property and other aspects of cities. Finally, research on the classification of cities in the future should focus on： diversification of classification standard, pluralism of the classification method, Standardization of classification index, the application of the classification results.
