For Qingdao West Coast New Area, the Clipper 2017-18 Round the World Race Qingdao Stop brings the momentum for innovative development of sports, economy, culture,tourism and education. Our reporter had a special interview with Zhang Leina,Deputy Director of Qingdao West Coast New Area.Zhang Leina said, the successful organization of the Clipper 2017-18 Round the World Race Qingdao Stop showed the development achievements in the new area in the past several years, especially in the seamless integration of sports with culture and tourism, enlarging the brand effect of the "four name cards" of the new area and advertising the "Sailing City" and the "City of Film" in a better way. From now on, in terms of cultural development, the new area will focus on creating the "four name cards" including the "City of Beer",the "Island of Music",the "Capital of Film and Television" and the "Center of Exhibition",and bring into full play such advantages as the settling of the China Railway World Expo City and other large cultural projects, the Golden Phoenix Awards, and the construction of the Lingshan Bay Film and Television Industry Area to create the city culture with unique charm of the new area.
