Longnan——A Wonderland on Earth

陇南，是甘肃省辖地级市，位于甘肃省东南端，东接陕西省，南通四川省，扼陕甘川三省要冲，是连接兰白、对接成渝、衔接关天三大经济区的战略通道，西北一西南重要的交通枢纽联结地，素有“秦陇锁钥，巴蜀咽喉”之称。

Located in the intersection region of the Qinling-Bashan Mountain areas, the Loess Plateau and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Longnan possesses a complex terrain formed by high mountains and steep hills alternating with valleys and basins and it is the only region situated at the Yangtze River basin in Gansu Province that has a subtropic climate. Longnan has beautiful landscape, pleasant climate and rich natural resources, thus it is known as "an oasis in the hinterland". With a profound history, Longnan is the birthplace of the Qin Dynasty, Qin people and Qin culture as well as the core living area for Di people and Qiang people-the western ethnic groups in ancient China. As the descendants of Baima Di people, Baima people in Wen County are known as the most ancient tribe in East Asia. Besides, Longnan is also one of the major producing places of traditional Chinese medicine and olive in China.Longnan and Qingdao are designated as a pair of counterpart regions in west and east China to provide assistance for each other. During the past one year since the two regions signed an agreement in March, 2017, they have built partnership in many fields such as fund support, talent support and industrial cooperation, etc. Recently, the airline from Qingdao to Longnan was opened, and the first group of Qingdao tourists has made a trip to Longnan by air.
