To solve the problem without special equipment for detecting the reserve alkalinity in engine cooling fluid,the paper adopts the existing technical conditions and innovative methods to determine the reserve alkalinity in engine cooling fluid.The tests indicate that the error between determination result and instrument testing result is small.The testing results can be used in high value,and the method is simple and quickly,safety and reliable,easy to operate.It can meet the needs of daily production testing.So it has a practical value that can be promoted.
