高等医学院校专门用途英语课程现状及影响学生学习收获因素的调查

An investigation on English for specific purposes curriculum status and influencing factors related to students＇ learning gains

目的对高等医学院校专门用途英语课程现状进行调查，并对影响学生学习收获的因素进行分析。方法对选修专门用途英语课程的248名学生进行问卷调查。所收集的数据采用SPSS16．0统计软件进行分析，针对3个研究问题分别用到频数分布表分析，单因素组问方差分析，以及多元线性回归，以找到各影响因素之间的关系。结果医学及相关专业选修专门用途英语课程学生占比73．8％，非医学专业学生占比26．2％；相比而言，大学英语四级考试成绩550分以上的学生学习动机强，学习收获大；学习动机和对教师医学专业水平的评价2个变量对专门用途英语学习收获均具有良好的预测作用。结论应当关注非主要学科专门用途英语课程的发展。同时，强化学生的学习动机，并重视专门用途英语教师的专业发展，以增加学生的学习收获。

Objective To investigate the current English for specific purposes（ESP） curriculum status of a higher medical university and analyze the factors which influence ESP students＇ learning gains. Methods Questionnaire survey was conducted for 248 ESP students. Collected data were analyzed by SPSS 16.0 statistical software. Frequency, single factor ANOVA and multivariate linear Regression were used sequentially in view of the three research questions in order to find out the relationships between various influencing factors. Results ESP students of medical and its related majors accounted for 73.8%, non-medical students accounted for 26.2%; students whose CET4 achievement is above 550 tend to have a strong learning motivation and greater learning gains; two variables （learning motivation and ESP teachers＇ medical professional level） have good effect to predict ESP learning gains. Conclusions Focus on ESP development of the non-major disciplines. Besides, enhance the students＇ learning motivation and attach great importance to ESP teachers＇ professional development to promote students＇ learning gains.
