"Mirror for Princes" in the Carolingian Period:A Research from Broader Perspectives

摘要 作为阐说君王统治道德、王权理论与实践的文献,“王者镜鉴”在中世纪早期特别是加洛林时期集中出现,成为一种独特的文化现象。本文从整体视角出发,考察加洛林“王者镜鉴”形成的文化起源、与时代需要的关系以及主要关涉主题,最后总结其历史意义,以期探究控制加洛林话语世界的文化精英所建构的理想中的王权模型。 The "Mirror for Princes" burst out in the ’Carolingian dynasty as a literature that explained the moral principle, the theory and practice of the monarchy, and it became a unique cultural phenomenon. This article examines the cultural origin, the relationship with the needs of the time and the major themes of the"Mirror for princes" from broader perspectives. It also summarizes the historical significance of this kind of literature and explores the ideal kingship model that the Carolingian elites wished to construct.
