更年期综合征可归属为"经断前后诸证"范畴。肾气亏虚为本病基础,肝、脾等病变均为发病重要原因。中医治疗可见专方(如桂枝汤、桂枝加龙骨牡蛎汤、加味逍遥散、四物汤、青蒿鳖甲汤等),辨证分型(清心滋肾汤、更年宁心颗粒、补肾疏肝汤),综合治疗可辅以针刺、点穴、捏脊、耳穴等,均可明显改善症状,提高生活质量。但仍存在作用机制并不明确、无法按照统一标准评估、设计双盲缺失、观察时间不固定、没有长期回访等问题。

Menopausal syndrome belong to the scope of the syndrome before and after pausimenia. Kidney deficiency is the base of this disease,liver and spleen diseases are all important causes. Chinese therapy, such as special prescriptions（Guizhi decoction, Guizhi decoction combination ossa draconis and ostracean,modified Xiaoyao san, Siwu decoction, Qinghao Biejia decoction, etc.） and differentiation of symptoms and signs for classification of symdrome（Qingxin Sishen decoction, Gengnian Ningxin particles, Bushen Shugan decoction）,comprehensive therapy which can assist by acupuncture, acupoint pressure, spinal pinching, auricular point,all can improve symptoms and improve life quality. But these reviews exist different flaws, such as the mechanism is not clear, without uniform standard, designs without double blind, uniform observation time, without a long-time return visit, etc.
