摘要
文章结合二语习得研究的教学实践,对二语习得研究术语翻译存在的问题进行了分析,认为存在多译并存、表达欠妥和误译3个方面的问题,并从二语习得研究的学科性质、研究人员的专业学术背景和英汉两种语言的差异等角度探讨了问题的成因,提出了强化交叉验证、冲破英语束缚、建立互动平台、提倡百家争鸣等4个方面的对策和建议。
This paper gives a brief analysis of the problems in SLA research terminology translation from English to Chinese and possible solutions to these problems.Having identified three categories of these problems,namely co-existence of several possible translations for one terminology,incorrect expression and faulty translation,it goes on to argue that the academic nature of SLA,the academic and linguistic backgrounds of SLA researchers and the structural difference between English and Chinese are related to the causes of these problems.Finally four possible solutions to these problems are proposed,namely administrating cross-examinations,overcoming the constraints imposed by the difference between the two languages,and establishing aplatform for communication among scholars from different fields of research and encouraging contentions among scholars from both within SLA research and other related fields.
