Paper-cutting Artist Sun Ping

孙平,出生于1937年,毕业于上海行知艺术师范学校。上海美术家协会会员,上海摄影家协会会员,中华民族文化促进会剪纸艺术委员会委员。孙平自学生时代开始从事剪纸艺术创作,至今已有六十余载,其早期启蒙于王子淦和林曦明两位中国剪纸艺术大家,历经海派传统民间剪纸、儿童专题剪纸、自然及都市风光剪纸等三个创作阶段,作品风格独树一帜。

Sun Pine started his paper cutting path in 1955.One day,he saw a new paper-cutting album New Window Decoration Paper-Cutting in the Countryside authored by Lin Ximing on the bookshelf.The works in this book are concise and fresh in form so that he could hardly bear to put it down!Since then,Sun Ping has indissoluble ties with paper-cutting art.He bravely strives for 60 years along this rugged path with his paper and scissors!
