From the perspective of academic history, the paper points out a gap from technology to spiritual transformation in the study of Goth architecture. It is the mainstream scholars' ignorance of the "Oriental Contribution" to Gothic architecture that resulted in the lack of intermediate links in this transition. This paper aims to position it as a spiritual concept disguised as a technical issue through the analysis of "Oriental Contribution" that flourished from the end of the 19th century to World War II, and provides reference to "symbolic interpretation" thereafter. On this level, the idea of "Oriental Contribution" reconsiders the missing origins and connects "symboLic interpretation" and "technical interpretation", maintaining the continuity of academic history.
