摘要
"道"是客观规律和对它的认知,包括知识、科学和学术;"文"指语言的科学和艺术;"文章"特指词章之文,也就是现代意义上的文学。"文章害道"是指如果混淆文学和学术,由于转移焦点、表达不清和浪费精力的弊端,文学就会妨碍科学发展。程颐主张"抒发胸中所蕴,自成文耳""游、夏称文学""且如观乎天文以察时变,观乎人文以化成天下",实际认为道就是文。围绕文与道的关系,可以概括为"道以载文",即知识、科学和学术是文的基础。
Truth refers to objective rules and the cognition of rules,including knowledge and science,while literature is the science and art of languages.Cheng Yi articulated that literatures are just what is in mind,and argued that truth itself is literature.He summarized the relationship between literature and truth as truth is for conveying literature.In other words,knowledge,science and learning are the bases of literature.
