An Etymological Study on Folk Writing Forms of Character Ju and Phrase Huojin

从古籍文献俗写规律及用例方面考察"据"字部件"豦"往往讹作"■","处"的俗体也可作"■",故辗转演变即成"■",继续类推可作"拠";"火筋"是"火筯"的俗写讹变,"筋""筯"俗写往往讹混不分。

Based on folk writing rules and examples in ancient literature, this paper studied folk writing forms of Chinese character ju （拠） and phrase huojin （火筋）. The component part ju （[处几]） in character ju （拠） was originally written as ju （豦）, which is similar to chu （處）, the folk writing form of character chu （处）, so character ju （拠） was gradually miswritten as ju （[扌處]）. Similarly, the phrase huojin （火筋） was miswritten from huojin （火筋）, because jin （筋） and jin （筯） were often replaced with each other in folk writing.
