Combined with the complexity and variability of the thermal test platform for heat exchanger, several common cooling technologies for system temperature control are introduced. From the view of engineering, the working principle, application environ-ment and equipment price of cooling tower, water chiller and ice storage tank are compre-hensively considered. The advantages and disadvantages of each program are discussed, and some reasonable suggestions are given for the selection of cooling scheme for cold-side medium in thermal test system for heat exchanger.
