New Trend and Issues in Current Chinese Modern Art Design

进入21世纪,中国现代艺术设计产业逐渐步入转型升级期。从20世纪80年代起步的中国现代艺术设计走过了很长一段时间的彷徨和模仿期,开始有意识地迈进以人文为本、树立文化自信以及本土化与全球化良性整合的发展阶段。近年来,中国现代艺术设计的发展趋势主要体现在:扎根于传统文化、强调和推动多文化的共融共生,服务于现代国民的需求,与新的经济形态协同发展,积极加入国际设计组织并举办具有国际影响力的设计类活动,传统手工艺产业展现新的生命力等方面;同时也存在学科定义有待于完善、教育理念与指导思想应更加清晰、设计史的梳理和设计理论研究有待于加强等问题。

In the 21^st century, Chinese modem art design industry has gradually entered the period of transformation and upgrading. Chinese modem art design, which toughly started in the 1980s, went through a long period of imitation and confusion. Later, it consciously developed into a stage which is characterized by human - orientation, cultural confidence and a positive integration of localization and globalization. In recent years, the development trends of Chinese modem art design can be seen in these following aspects. Firstly, it is rooted in traditional culture and is concerned with the promotion of the co - existence and symbiosis of diversified cultures. Secondly, it serves modem citizens＇ needs. Thirdly, it develops well with the new economic forms. Fourthly, it positively engages with influential international design activities organized and held by the international design organizations. Fifthly, the handicraft industry- shows new viability, etc. Nevertheless, there are places for improvement, for instance, the definition of the discipline needs perfection, the educational idea and guiding thoughts need to be clarified, and the studies of design history and design concepts need to be enhanced, etc.
