Discussion on Death Predicament and Modernity of Modern Man

人类已由传统死亡进到现代死亡,这是由现代技术所决定的不可逆的运动。现代死亡体现着死亡的现代性本质,它将死亡从生命的内在本质规定中抽离并走向异化,令现代人陷入死亡的困境中。究其根源,现代性内涵着生与死的"二项分离",成为现代人逃避死亡的根本策略。

Human have been from the traditional death to the modern death,which is irreversible movement decided by modern technology. Modern death embodies the modern essence of death,and it pulls death away from the internal essence of life and leads to dissimilation,bringing modern people into the predicament of death. From its roots,modernity connotes the ＂two separation＂between life and death,and becomes the fundamental strategy for modern man to escape death.
