Research Progress of Ceiba speciosa

美丽异木棉Ceiba speciosa是木棉科异木棉属的落叶乔木,原产南美洲。其树形优美、花色绚丽,极具观赏价值,现已在华南地区广泛种植。综述了美丽异木棉的繁殖技术、栽培管理、生理研究、园林应用等方面的研究进展,旨在为其在园林绿化中的进一步推广提供参考。

Ceiba speciosa, a beautiful tall deciduous tree in genus Ceiba and family Bombacaceae, is high value for graceful tree shape and colorful flowers. Ceiba speciosa is native to South America, while nowadays it is widely planted as ornamental trees in southern China. This paper reviewed its research progress on propagation technology, cultivation management, physiology and landscape application. It aims to provide reference for further promotion of Ceiba speciosa in landscaping.
