On the Spring Festival eve of 2003, Xi Jinping, then Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee, took a special trip to Liangnong Town and Hengkantou Village for an inspection and put forward the expectation of establishing the ＂sample town of comprehensively striving for a relatively comfortable life in national old revolutionary base areas＂. Fifteen years has passed. Complying with the significant instruction spirit of Xi Jinping, Party organization of Hengkantou Village led fellow villagers to readjust the industrial structure, promote featured agriculture and develop red tourism making use of the resource advantage. Finally the village was built into a famous sample village of comprehensively striving for a relatively comfortable life in Zhejiang as well as a national civilized village. In the great change, the artists of Ningbo also have devoted themselves to visiting villagers, which met the demand of villagers for cultural life.
