On the Leading Motive of Music in the Film Gone with the Wind

1939年在美国上映的电影《乱世佳人》以美国南北战争为背景,以复杂的剧情为线索,采用音乐主导动机的手法,细腻地刻画了男女主人公的心理变化,揭示了郝思嘉为保卫家乡不甘屈服、顽强抗争的精神品质。本文拟从音乐元素入手研究主导动机的构建,分析音乐主导动机在电影中的功能,旨在揭示音乐主导动机在电影中所隐喻的文化内涵。

Taking the Civil War as the background,American film Gone with the Wind in 1939 depicts the psychological changes of the characters minutely and displays Scarlett's unyielding spirit and indomitable struggle to defend her land with complex plot and the leading motive of music. This paper attempts to study the construction of leading motive from the perspective of musical elements and analyze the function that the motive plays in the film and thus to reveal the cultural connotations reflected by the leading motive of music in the film.
