In the new era, the counselors of higher vocational colleges play an important role in the management of students as the leaders, organizers and the coordinators. The hard power of the counselor team is more and more difficult to have a direct ideological and political impact on the college students, and the effect of the soft power is more obvious. Grasping the role, relying on innovative thinking, taking various measures simultaneously, getting professional training and seizing opportunities can effectively improve the counselors soft powers, such as psychological guidance, practice instruction, employment guidance, work guidance and behavior guidance. The promotion of the coun-sellor team＇s soft power helps to improve the quality of talent cultivation in higher vocational colleges.
