如果没有一系列出彩的翻译,《哈利波特》中令读者叹为观止的西方魔法文化传奇不会得到完美的传达。语言是文化传播的载体,译介尤其强调翻译的文化策略。从译介的角度来看,《哈利波特》中文翻译版本对魔法文化的处理呈现出不同的方式:译者的中文翻译版本对魔法文化忠实的直译和异化的手段再现源文化的原汁原味;而创造性翻译和归化的翻译使得源语言中难懂的魔法文化转化为中国读者容易接受的神话文化。

Without the marvelous Chinese version ofHarry Potter ,the amazing and breathtaking magic cul.ture in series novels ofHarry Potter would have been a great loss for the introduction of this magic world. Lan.guage works as the carrier of culture,and medio-translatolog emphasizes the cultural strategy. From the per.spective of medio-translatology,the Chinese translation version has adopted various ways in order to conveythe magic culture in a better way. Faithful and direct translation and the approach of foreignization are used inmaintaining the original magic culture while creative and indirect translation,or the approach of domesticationare used in conveying the source culture into the target culture.
