An Investigation into Tibetan College Students' Language Use in Kunming

本文旨在研究昆藏族大学生的语言使用情况及其影响因素。研究的重点问题是:昆藏族大学生的藏语、汉语和英语等三种语言的语言水平和语言使用情况以及影响他们语言选择和语言使用的社会因素。研究表明藏语的语言保持情况良好,但受试者的汉语水平普遍比藏语水平高,且受试者的地理分布与其父母的婚姻类型是影响他们语言能力的主要因素。

〕 The article studies Tibetan college students language use with its factors. It was undertaken tofind out Tibetan college students language proficiency of Tibetan, Chinese and English and their languageuse; meanwhile, the social factors affecting Tibetan college students language choice and language use. Theresult shows that the maintenance of Tibetan is in a good condition and students Chinese proficiency isgenerally higher than their Tibetan proficiency. In addition, the geographical distribution of the subjects andtheir parents marriage types are the main factors affecting their language proficiency.
