劳动力市场灵活性是否提升了出口技术复杂度

Does Labor Market Flexibility Improve the Export Sophistication

通过理论分析劳动力市场灵活性对出口技术复杂度的内在影响机制,利用2000—2010年中国制造业22个细分行业的面板数据,对劳动力市场灵活性是否提升了出口技术复杂度进行了实证检验。研究发现:制造业劳动力市场灵活性水平提高有助于出口技术复杂度的提升;劳动力市场灵活性通过用工成本效应与技术溢出效应促进出口技术复杂度的提升,而人力资本效应的影响并不显著;劳动力市场灵活性通过劳动力资源配置效应减轻了产出波动对出口技术复杂度的负向影响。进一步研究发现,劳动力市场灵活性增强通过人力资本效应与技术溢出效应对劳动资本密集型行业出口技术复杂度的提升产生正向影响,对技术密集型行业出口技术复杂度的提升具有负向影响。

Using sub-sectors of Chinese manufacturing industry-level panel data of 22 industries from 2000 to 2010 in China,this paper explores the internal mechanism of labor market flexibility affecting the export sophistication,and uses the regional-industry-year level data for robustness testing. The results show that the increase of labor market flexibility in manufacturing industry can improve the export sophistication. Labor market flexibility promotes the efficiency of export technology through the effect of labor cost and technology spillover,and the effect of human capital effect is not significant. Labor market flexibility reduces the negative impact of rising output volatility on the export sophistication through the allocation of labor resources. Further sub-sample test has found that labor market flexibility has a positive impact on the export sophistication of labor capital-intensive industries through human capital effects and technology spillovers,w hile the technology-intensive industry labor market flexibility is not conducive to the upgrading of the export sophistication.
