Global Production Networks,Contractual Quality and Relationship-Specific Investment

文章以不完全契约理论为基础,在全球生产网络的框架内,分析了契约质量如何影响上游制造业的特定关系投入,通过42个国家2000~2014年的面板数据,验证了提出的命题。研究表明:契约质量的改善会显著增加上游制造业的特定关系投入;在全球生产网络中,随着契约质量的改善,不同分工位置的制造业特定关系投入都有所增加,且越上游的制造业增加得越多。这为通过提升契约质量优化全球生产网络的效率提供了理论依据。

Based on the incomplete contract theory and under the framework of global production networks, this paper analyzes how the quality of contract affects the relationship -specific investment of the upstream manufacturing industry and verifies the proposed propositions based on the panel data of 42 countries from 2000 to 2014. The research shows that the improvement of contract quality can increase the relationship-specific investment of upstream manufacturing industry significantly. In the global production network, with the improvement of the quality of contract, the relationship-specific investment in the manufacturing industry of different division of labor is on the increase. The more upstream the manufacturing industry is, the more the investment increases. It provides a theoretical basis for optimizing the efficiency of global production networks by improving contractual quality.
