This paper summarizes existing ways of social media data sharing for research. Choosing the US Library of Congress＇ s Twitter archive as an example of one of the ways,the paper analyzes challenges of social media data archiving detailedly. Finally, the suggestions are given to promote social media data sharing from the perspective of different stakeholders.
