The economic base determines superstructure, science and technology promotes the development of modern industry, and industry development promotes the transformation of human being＇s ideas. With the development of the economy and the change of ecological environment, more and more scholars take up the research related to the environment. Correspondingly, eco-literature rises. This article describes the background, the definition, the characteristics, the effect and the development direction of eco-literature with the purpose of improving the development of eco-literature.
