摘要 第二语言写作领域对于演绎和归纳的认识并不统一,而且也有别于西方写作修辞学界对这两个概念的界定,由此造成了对演绎和归纳的误解。本文试图澄清三种常见的误解,并对国内外二语写作研究的相关论文进行了一项简单的调查。发现正确诠释和应用这两个概念的论文仅占不到六分之一。文章还指出:中国学生英语语篇内部的修辞关系较复杂,不能简单地用演绎或归纳来划分,因此还应正视"非归非演"式的存在。 The concepts of deduction and induction are not interpreted consistently by the second language writing researchers. Their understanding is different from the definitions given by the western composition-rhetoricians. This paper clarifies the three common misunderstandings and then reports an investigation into the related studies of second language writing both at home and abroad. The result shows that only less one-sixth of the studies have explained and applied the two concepts in a correct way. Finally, the paper points out that the English discourses written by the Chinese students cannot be simply classified into either deduction or induction because of the complicated rhetorical relations inside the discourses. Non-deductive-non-inductive discourses should be recognized by the researchers.
