A Review of the Studies on Sharon Olds's Poetry

莎朗·奥兹(Sharon Olds,1942-)是美国当代颇具影响力的女诗人,上世纪七八十年代至今创作诗集十余部,其中,诗集《死者与生者》获1984年美国图书评论界奖,诗集《雄鹿之跃》获2012年T.S.艾略特诗歌奖和2013年普利策诗歌奖。本文从多个视角梳理了国内外奥兹诗歌研究的历史及现状。国外的奥兹诗歌研究在过去三十年间蓬勃发展,但对奥兹的新近作品关注较少,缺乏对奥兹诗歌作为当代自白诗的整体性观照;而国内关于奥兹诗歌的研究刚刚起步,仅有少量评论和译介,存在较大的研究潜力和探索空间。

Sharon Olds （1942-） is an influential American female poet. Since 1970s and 1980s, Olds has created over 10 poetry collections, among which The Dead and the Living won the National Book Critics Circle Award in 1984, and Stag＇s Leap won T. S. Eliot Prize for Poetry in 2012 as well as the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 2013. This article reviews the studies on Sharon Olds＇s poetry at home and abroad. The last three decades have witnessed the proliferation of the studies on Olds and her poetry abroad, but more attention should be paid to Olds＇s latest works and to her works as part of the confessional tradition in American poetry. Sharon Olds and her poetry has been introduced to China only a few years ago. With only a few critical articles and some poetry translation currently, there is still great potentiality for further studies on Olds＇s poetry.
