《楚辞》英译研究在中国三十年(1988—2017)

Chinese Scholarship on the Study of the English Translation of Chu Ci: From 1988 to 2017

《楚辞》是中国首部浪漫主义诗歌总集。19世纪以来,《楚辞》日益引起英语世界的广泛关注。20世纪,特别是80年代以后,国内学者开始对《楚辞》英译进行研究。为全面了解国内《楚辞》英译研究概况,本文通过中国知网等数据库,统计了1988至2017年间国内《楚辞》英译研究成果,并指出该领域研究主要聚焦英译个案、英译对比、英译史及对外传播和其他文献四个议题。当前国内《楚辞》英译研究呈现出视角多元化、解读精细化、研究手段多样化等特点,但仍然存在研究力度需加强、研究视角待拓宽、译本系统性欠全和研究方法有待创新四方面问题。本文认为,可以从重视跨学科交叉、关注中观研究、加大相应机构的参与力度研究,展开目标受众的深度调查研究,以推动《楚辞》英译研究的深入发展。

Chu Ci is the earliest poetry collection of romanticism in ancient China. Since the 19th century, it has received increasing attention from the English world. China＇s studies of the English translation of Chu Ci were initiated in the 20th century, especially in the 1980s. In order to have a panorama of the studies in this regard, this paper, based on the achievements collected from CNKI （1988-2017）, makes a review of studies on the English translation of Chu Ci during the past 30 years in China from four aspects： the case study, the comparison of various English versions, the history of English translation and international communication as well as others. The study of the translation in China is currently characterized by diversified perspectives, elaborated analyses, and various research methods. However, there are still limitations, including insufficient, narrow range of study, inadequate translated versions to be based on, and conventionality in methods. The author suggests that measures be taken in inter-disciplinary studies, macro-micro combination, organization involvement and in-depth survey of target readers. It is hoped that this article will result in an advancement of further studies on the English translation of Chu Ci.
